TOMS Gisele Ballet Flats

                                                            Hello Lovelies!

I am sure most of you are familiar with the brand TOMS. I have noticed their shoes are quite popular among all age groups. I think it might have to do with their One for One program. For every pair of TOMS that are sold, a pair is donated to a child in need. Who doesn't like to give back? I love when companies do these kinds of things, like MAC's Viva Glam program, in which all the proceeds go to finding a cure for AIDS. I have never owned a pair of TOMS until recently because they just never looked right on my feet. Until I saw these flats in People StyleWatch, I wasn't even aware that TOMS sold ballet flats. They were so cute, so I decided to hunt them down.

These flats retail for $79 and I know what you're thinking, $80 flats??? But remember its a good cause, plus I only wear flats. I am not a big sneakers or high heel person, so I do not mind investing in some quality shoes because I know I will be wearing them. I got the Gisele flats in both gray and brown. You should also know that these tend to run a bit big. I normally wear a size 10 in women and got these in a 9.5 and they fit beautifully!

You can get these shoes on the TOMS website or Nordstroms but I got mine at a little boutique in Scottsdale here in Arizona. I think these flats will go great with my casual jeans and plain tee attire.

What are your thoughts on animal print shoes? Yay or Nay? Are you a flats lover?

MAC's Force of Love Lipstick

                                                          Hello lovelies!

As you know, lately I have been enjoying bold lips. MAC launched their Chen Man Collection on March 1, 2012 in stores. It just so happens that the collection included this new beautiful matte coral color called Force of Love. After seeing this on other people, I had to have it!

This color sold out in less than an hour online.
So I had to make sure I was at my MAC right when they opened so I would not miss out (again! those online shoppers don't play).

I love the matte look of this color! I will say this, like most mattes, this does accentuate the flaws on the lips. Nothing a nice lip scrub and balm cant help :-)

Did you get anything from MAC's Chen Man?
If you got your hands on Force of Love I would
love to know how you're liking it!

Revlon Colorstay Nail Polish in BLUE SLATE featuring Spoiled's Pet My Peacock

So I love painting my nails..dont tell anyone but I probably change my nail polish atleast twice a week. Lately I have been loving the new Revlon Colorstay nail polishes, so MUCH that I cant bear to take it off. I have been rocking the same color for almost a WEEK!  I own quite a few of these (just counted them..quite a few can be 7 right?) and I'm thinking of doing a review. I hate the regular Revlon nail polishes but these...these right here are something special.

The color I am wearing is 280 Blue Slate. It comes off as a creamy looking blueish teal. Beautiful for Spring! I bought the Revlon nail polishes at Walmart for about $4.99.

I've been loving glitter so I glammed it up with Spoiled's Pet My Peacock. This glitter nail polish is gorge, with blue, green, purple, silver and gold sparkles. You can get Spoiled at CVS for $1.99.

I think I'll do a more in depth comparison post later on! Have you tried the new Revlon Colorstay nail polishes? What are your thoughts?

What are your thoughts on glitter nail polish? besides it being a beast to get off....after all, gettin glammy aint easy :-)

BOLD Lips! ~ Drugstore Edition~

So normally I am a nude pink lipstick kind of girl...but lately I've been admiring the bright bold lips people have been sporting, in preparation for Spring. So I hit up my drugstore and chose a few beautiful bright lipsticks that were calling to me. I got two Maybelline colorsensational lippies and one Revlon superlusterous lipstick. The Maybelline colors are Fuchsia Fever and Coral Crush. The Revlon color is Siren.

They look pretty intense right?

Fuchsia Fever, Coral Crush, Siren (L to R with flash)

So from the look of these lipsticks I was expecting to have to really work with them, but they turned out to be really wearable!

Maybelline Coral Crush (no flash)

Maybelline Fuchsia Fever (no flash)

Revlon Siren (no flash)

I am loving these colors. Covergirl had some nice ones but they were all broken up, I'll have to try those next. What are some of your favorite drugstore bold lipstick colors?

Murad Acne Complex Kit

Welcome to my blog!   I thought I would do my first post on something I am very excited about..skincare. I suffer from acne and I'm always on the hunt for a skincare regime that works for my acne ridden skin. I recently did some Sephora website research and came across the Murad Acne Complex Kit. I have never tried Murad before but the reviews were pretty positive so I placed my order! I will be using these products for the month of March and doing a review in April to let everyone know how it's been working on my skin.

This set was $60 and contains:
- 4.5 oz Clarifying Cleanser
- 2 oz Exfoliating Acne Treatment
- 0.5 oz Acne Spot Treatment
- 1.5 oz Skin Perfecting Lotion

The clarifying cleanser is described on the Sephora website as:

A maximum-strength cleanser that removes dirt, oil, and impurities.

This cleansing gel effectively keeps skin clean and clear. Use it daily to help eliminate blemishes, prevent new breakouts, and maximize penetration of powerful acne treatment ingredients. In less than one minute, it reduces 99.9 percent of irritating surface bacteria

The exfoliating acne treatment is described on the Sephora website as:

An acne-fighting treatment gel that controls breakouts, unclogs pores, and restores clarity.

This product's patented delivery system helps eliminate surface bacteria and gently exfoliates to control breakouts, unclog pores, and stimulate cell turnover. Its patented hydrogen peroxide delivery system enables ingredients like retinol, glycolic, and salicylic acids to penetrate deeply for maximum effectiveness and clearer skin.

The acne spot treatment is described on the Sephora website as:

A fast-acting spot treatment that minimizes acne breakouts and promotes immediate healing of blemishes.

This product provides on-the-spot acne control the moment you feel a blemish developing. A powerful acne-fighting formula, it treats breakouts while promoting healing with anti-inflammatory ingredients that soothe and reduce redness. Its convenient size makes it easy to provide extra attention to a stubborn blemish anytime, anywhere.

The skin perfecting lotion is described on the Sephora website as:

A cream that promotes a uniform skin texture and tone.

This lotion hydrates while controlling oil and shine and minimizing pores. The ingredient retinol gently renews skin while arnica helps manage redness, together providing a more balanced texture

I am so excited to try this kit! What is your skin type and what are some of your favorite skincare products?

After all, gettin' glammy aint easy
Until next time...
